General Information

  • Does the Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel welcome families?
    Our hotel welcomes guest from 18 years old only to guarantee a peaceful and tranquil holiday in Mauritius.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    Rooms are available as from 2pm on arrival day and must be vacated at noon on departure day.
  • Is there a Wi-Fi or Internet connection at the hotel? Is it complimentary?
    Yes, a Wi-Fi connection is available at the hotel both in the common areas and in the rooms.
  • Is there parking space at the hotel?
    Yes we offer private parking space free of charge. (Nevertheless the number of parking space is limited).
  • Are there security agents at the hotel?
    Yes there is a 24h/24 security service at the hotel.
  • What is the dress code at the hotel ?
    The dress code is smart casual. However at dinner time, shorts are not accepted in our restaurants.
  • What are the boutique opening hours and what are the products offered
    Our boutique is opened from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm and on Sunday from 9am to 6pm. You will be able to purchase basic products needed such as soap and toothpaste as well as local handicraft, sun cream, stamps, postcards and souvenirs.

Services available at reception

  • Can we exchange foreign currency into Mauritian Rupees (Rs) at the hotel?
    Yes, there is an exchange currency service at reception.
  • What is the currency used in Mauritius and what is the approximate exchange rate?
    The currency is the Mauritian Rupee and the exchange rate is approximately 1 euro = 40 rupees.
  • What are the accepted credit cards at the hotel?
    American Express, Visa, Diners Club International, MasterCard and Maestro.
  • Is it possible to rent a car at the hotel?
    Yes, we offer a car rental service with SIXT Mauritius, please see with the reception team.
  • Is there a post box at the hotel for letters and postcards?
    Yes there is and it is free of charge. (Stamps are also on sale at the hotel boutique).

Categories and specifications

  • What are the different categories of rooms available at the hotel?
    4 categories are available : Deluxe, Deluxe Premium, Club Junior Suite and Club Senior Suite.
  • How many people can they accommodate?
    Rooms and Suites capacity is 2 adults only.
  • Are the rooms fitted with twin beds?
    No, however we can propose single beds (13 rooms with double beds can be converted in 2 single beds rooms).
  • Are there communicating rooms at the hotel?
    No, there are no communicating rooms at the hotel.
  • Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms?
    All the rooms are non-smoking. Nevertheless smoking is allowed on the terraces and balconies.
  • Is the hotel adapted for guests with reduced mobility?
    No, not at the moment, the hotel has no structures adapted to welcome people with reduced mobility.

Room and Suite Facilities

  • Are the rooms air-conditioned?
    Yes, all our rooms are equipped with an individual air-conditioner; a remote control will allow you to set/adjust the temperature at your convenience.
  • Are the rooms equipped with a safe?
    Yes all the rooms are fitted with a safe.
  • Is there a hairdryer in the room?
    Yes, there is a hairdryer in all our rooms.
  • Do you offer a toiletries kit?
    Yes.
  • Is there an iron in the rooms?
    No, there is no iron in the rooms however you can request an iron and an ironing table at the reception.
  • Are the rooms equipped with electric mosquito units?
    Yes, all our rooms are fitted/equipped with individual electric mosquito units.
  • Are there beach towels at the hotel? Yes, the beach towels are available at the boat house.
    Yes, beach towels will be available in your room (one per person). They will be changed everyday or upon request.
  • What type of electric plugs in the rooms?
    All our rooms are fitted/equipped with G type sockets (3 rectangular pins) and one type C socket (2 round pins). Adapters are available at reception upon request.
  • Which TV channels are available in the rooms ?

Restaurants and meal plans

  • If I have an “All Inclusive” Package from what time is it valid on the day of arrival and until what time on departure date?
    Our All Inclusive and Premium All-Inclusive packages are valid from noon on arrival day until noon on departure day.
  • Which restaurants are included in the « Dine Around » experience ?
    Our « Dine Around » concept allows our guests to dine in three of our restaurants (The Dining Room – main restaurant, The Cove – fish and seafood specialties et XO – asian fusion cuisine). You will be able to enjoy a large selection of entrées, mains and deserts without additional charge (with the exception of premium items like lobsters).
  • Do I need to book in advance?
    We strongly suggest you to book your table at the XO and The Cove restaurants as they are quite popular with our guests. Reservations can be done 24h in advance at the reception counter. Please note that XO and The Cove are closed on Sundays.
  • What is the dress code at the hotel ?
    The dress code is smart casual. However at dinner time, shorts are not accepted in our restaurants.
  • Are picnic baskets available on excursion days?
    Yes, picnic baskets are available on request the day before and ready at the time convenient for guests at the reception counter. Please note that this service incurs a fee.

Club Lounge

  • Is the Club Lounge accessible to any guests ?
    No, the Club Lounge is exclusively reserved to guests staying in Club Junior and Club Senior Suites.
  • What are the facilities offered at the Club Lounge ?
    Le Club Lounge offers “tailor made services” and facilities such as computer access, 3D TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, board games, newspapers and magazines as well as coffee, water, soda , exotic hot and iced teas, fruit juices, locally prepared rums, sandwiches, crepes, fruits…
  • What are the opening hours ?
    The Club Lounge is open everyday from 10am to 8pm.
  • Is it possible for clients of Deluxe and Deluxe Premium rooms to enjoy the facilities and services of the Club Lounge at extra charge?
    No, we do not propose this service.

Spa

  • Is there a Spa at the hotel?
    Yes, our boutique hotel has partnered with Cinq Mondes Spa. Our Spa offers 4 single treatments rooms, 1 double treatments room with a bath tub, 2 single treatment rooms with affusion showers, 2 hammams and one swimming pool. We also offer outdoor spa massage at our Spa kiosk on the peninsula.
  • What are the opening hours ?
    The Spa is open everyday from 9am to 8pm. We suggest you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
  • Do I need to prebook my treatments or massage? We strongly advise to book your treatments 24h in advance at the Spa reception (at the counter or over the phone – please contact the reception).

Fitness Centre and Boat House

  • Is there a swimming pool at the hotel?
    Yes, we have two swimming pools, one located in the main part of the hotel (1.50 m depth) and one located on the peninsula (1.20 m depth). Our Cinq Mondes Spa has also a swimming pool exclusively reserved for our Spa guests.
  • Do you have a gym?
    Yes, we have a fitness centre open everyday from 6am to 8pm (free access), which offers among others bicycles, treadmills, weight machines, free weight..
  • Is there a boat house?
    Yes, our boat house is open everyday from 9am to 5pm and offers the following activities: kayak, pedal boat, glass-bottom boat (3pm), windsurf, stand-up paddle (SUP), laster, snorkeling (10.30 am), water skiing (from 11am to noon and from 3pm to 4pm)

Practical Information and shopping

  • How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
    You can catch a taxi at the airport or book your transfer directly with the hotel when booking your stay or up to 72h before arriving ((€ 125 per trip – for a maximum of 2 to 3 people, the number of people is to be defined according to the number of luggage, ( this price is indicative and can be modified without prior notice).
  • Is there a bus stop close to the hotel?
    Yes, there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel towards the public beach of Anse La Raie. Average time to reach: Grand Baie: 25 min trip, Goodlands: 25 min trip, Grand Gaube: 20 min trip.
  • Which is the closest shopping center to the hotel?
    The Grand Baie shopping area situated 15 min away by cab / 25 min by bus.
  • How do I get to Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius ?
    You can catch a taxi parked outside the hotel (45 min trip) or take the bus (1h30 trip).
  • What is of interest to visit around the hotel?
    A mere 5 min drive is Cap Malheureux and his famous chapel (currently being renovated). The lively village of Grand Baie is also a good options for day and night outings.
